Skin tags causes vary and these small pieces of hanging skin can be annoying and unsightly. Simply
searching for skin tags pictures online will show a person what they look like so that he or she can make sure that
what is on the skin is really a skin tag. Skin tags can happen anywhere on a person's skin but skin tags are more
likely to occur on places where the skin rubs together and rubs against other things. Areas where skin tags are
most likely to happen include the chest, armpits, eyelids among other places.
Skin tags during pregnancy are also very common. For whatever reason overweight people are more likely to get
skin tags, probably because there is more skin rubbing together. Skin tags are made up of fibers and nerve endings,
and ones that have a lot of pressure inside of them may simply explode. Skin tags causes and people who have
increased risk of skin tags include being overweight, being at midlife or later, having diabetes and having
HPV.
Skin tags causes may be that some skin ended up caught in thicker bits of skin. They are just benign pieces of
skin that are not malignant and are not generally dangerous. Almost half of the population has these skin tags.
Skin tags causes can also have a genetic predisposition. Having a lot of skin tags can run in families. There are
also diseases that make people more likely to get skin tags such as Chron's Disease and several other diseases.
Skin cancer causes do not include skin tags because the incidents where skin cancer has occurred in skin tags is
extremely rare. Warts causes are also different than skin tags causes, because warts are generally caused by a
virus. To get rid of warts there are easy over the counter remedies that will freeze them off or a person can
simply pare them down.
Moles causes are similar and sometimes a skin tag may look like a mole. They are very similar skin problems.
Skin tags are not painful however they might turn black if the stalk that connects it to the rest of the skin
twists over itself and causes a lack of blood supply to the skin tag. Also, if a skin tag is ripped it can bleed
but that is the only time that it is painful.
Skin tags self removal is not very difficult, if they are tied off with a thin piece of string they will just
fall off after a few days. Also skin tag removal can be done by a doctor surgically but only if they are causing
problems to the patient. Skin tags removal is not necessary because they are not painful and do not cause any
further problems. Also, medication will not treat a skin tag if they are to be removed they need to be done so
surgically.
It may be more important to get the skin tags removed if they are on a very sensitive area such as on the
eyelids where they may cause discomfort to the person. Other than that skin tags really pose no problems other than
to be cosmetically ugly and they almost never indicate skin cancer. Removing them is not difficult and it can be
done at home. However, a person can also have a doctor remove the skin tag if they feel that they cannot do it
themselves. If the skin tags are torn it may be necessary to have them removed because they might be painful in
that instance.
Skin tags causes is just mainly skin rubbing together. In places where skin rubs together skin tags are much
more likely to develop over time in people who are overweight, have diabetes, are older, and have certain other
diseases. The skin tags are not painful and really cause no problems unless they are located on a sensitive area.
Skin tags are very similar to moles and very different from warts. They are not caused by a virus and are easier to
get rid of. Anybody can remove a skin tag on their own or make an appointment with a dermatologist to have them
surgically removed.
